Flemington Car and Truck Country began in 1976 when Steve Kalafer purchased Ditschman Ford - Lincoln - Mercury then located in Frenchtown, NJ. The Ditschman dealership was moved to Flemington in 1979 and is the original foundation of the Flemington Car and Truck Country family of dealerships. In May 1997 Kalafer served as the Chairman and CEO and Byron T. Brisby became President. In April, 2001 Steve and Byron became partners. Flemington Car & Truck Country has showrooms and service centers in 9 locations for 19 franchises!

Under Kalafer and Brisby's leadership and through the dedication and personal commitment of it's employees and associates, Flemington Car and Truck Country has been frequently recognized nationally, and by the manufacturers they represent, for their superior customer service and community involvement including being named Time Magazine Quality Dealer Award National Finalist and New Jersey Automotive Dealer of the Year and the People Magazine Award for Outstanding Service. The dealership was awarded the Automotive News/Good Housekeeping Automotive Dealership Service Excellence Award.
